Nintendo has revealed the list of new downloadable titles and sales on its North American 3DS and Wii U eShops for the week of September 18, 2014. This also includes the third week of the massive Super Smashing Sale, which will last throughout the entire month of September.
On the 3DS eShop:
- Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit! ($29.99)
Cooking Mama is at it again with its fifth installment in the cooking simulator franchise. Bon Appétit! features 60 new mouth-watering recipes as well as 30 new household minigames, so that you can show Mama that you have what it takes to play in her kitchen. It is worth noting that the digital version of Cooking Mama 5 is $5 less than the retail version.
- FIFA 15 ($29.99)
Available on September 23, you’ll be able to take on the soccer season with over 30 official licensed leagues, 50 real-world tournaments, 500 authentic clubs and 12 500 players, but there will be no updates to the gameplay or the game modes. Players will be able to participate in the traditional 11 vs. 11 matches or in epic 5 vs. 5 street match-ups. Plus, the 3D Street Football Mode will allow you to re-create yourself inside the game and compete in this specific game mode on-the-go.
- Horse Vet 3D ($TBD)
In this veterinarian simulator, you’ll need to examine horses with thermometers, ultrasonics, blood samples, forceps, syringes and bandages to determine the nature of their injuries. While you are not saving those animals, you’ll be able to have fun with the variety of breeds by buying and selling extra horses, feeding them, cleaning them, and playing with them.
- Super Smash Bros. 3DS (Free Demo)
With only a few weeks left before the official launch of Super Smash Bros. 3DS, you can download the game’s demo starting September 19 giving you a sneak peak at what’s to come in the full game. The demo includes five fighters in Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager and Mega Man, which will be able to duke it out on the Battlefield stage. You’ll also be able to play local multiplayer matches with people who have downloaded the demo to their 3DS as well. - Secret Empires of the Ancient World ($4.99)
Secret Empires of the Ancient World is a puzzle game where you need to find carefully placed items among the ruins of ancient civilizations. You’ll be able to explore Mexico, Peru, Central America and the US Southwest to seek out those 1000 hidden objects. Play in Casual or Timed Modes as you dive into the fun find and seek gameplay of this hidden object hunt experience.
- THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL ($39.99)
Featuring 221 songs from the Final Fantasy universe and 60 playable characters, the sequel to the first Final Fantasy rhythm game, THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL, will have the player tap to the beat and harmonies of those FF classics to earn the highest scores possible. On the 3DS Virtual Console:
- Legend of the River King 2 ($4.99)
This GameBoy Color classic is making its way to the 3DS Virtual Console starting today. In this RPG, you’ll be tasked to track down the mean-hearted spirits that control the River King and the Sea King.
On the Wii U eShop:
- Arrow Time U ($1.99)
In this top-down 2D game, you take control of a neon arrow where you must overcome all the obstacles and foes in your way. With limited time, health, and special powers, you must use the arrow’s unique movement mechanics and abilities to get passed them.
- Spikey Walls ($0.99)
Spikey Walls is an exciting arcade game where you must precisely tap the A button on the Wii U GamePad. You’ll be able to share your high scores to Miiverse as well.
On the Wii U Virtual Console:
- Wild Guns ($7,99)
The SNES classic, Wild Guns is making its way to the Wii U Virtual Console today. As Clint and Annie, you’ll have to blast your way through villainous outlaws and diabolical robots as you hunt down The Kid gang and their army of robots. Co-op play is also included within this title, so you’ll be able to blast apart the environments with a buddy of yours.
And finally, eShop sales:
To celebrate the release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Nintendo is having a Super Smashing Sale where you can save up to 38 percent on games that have made your favorite Smash characters famous throughout the entire month of September.
Week 3 of the sale will offer discounts on selected Pokémon, Metroid and Mii games until September 25.
Super Smashing Sale (Week 3):
- Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U)
Pokémon Rumble U is now $10.99 instead of $17.99 on the Wii U eShop.
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (3DS)
This Pokémon game is now $24.99 instead of $34.99 on the 3DS eShop.
- Pokémon Battle Trozei (3DS)
Pokémon Battle Trozei is now $5.49 instead of $7.99 on the 3DS eShop.
- Metroid (Wii U & 3DS)
Both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the original Metroid for NES are now $3.49 instead of $4.99 on the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console.
- Wii Fit U (Wii U)
Nintendo’s fitness game is now $19.99 instead of $29.99 on the Wii U eShop.
Other sales in the eShop:
- Moon Chronicles & Mutant Mudds (3DS)
Both games from Renegade Kid are on sale until October 2 on the 3DS eShop. However, details regarding this sale have not been elaborated.
- Shin Megami Tensei IV, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars & More (3DS)
Multiple games coming from Atlus are on sale from September 22 to September 29 on the 3DS eShop. However, details regarding this sale have not been elaborated.
- Strike Force Foxx, Coaster Creator 3D & More (3DS)
Multiple games from Big John Games are 50 percent off until October 2 on the 3DS eShop.
- Classic Games Overload: Cards & Puzzle Edition (3DS)
This title will be 50 percent off starting October 6 on the 3DS eShop, making it $14.99 instead of $29.99.
