Viber

For awhile, Viber has been available for desktops. It allows users to send instant video messages and texts. The company recently announced that it has updated its apps for IOS and Android that allows users to make free video calls from their mobile phones as well as from Mac computers and PC’s.

Viber already allows users to make free calls as well as send video messages and text and voice messages to other users.

The majority of mobile devices that operate on Android 4.0 or higher or use the IOS 6 version or later will be able to make or transfer calls with their mobile devices or with their desktop computers.

In addition to video calling, Viber included QR coding that will allow users to easily and quickly add contacts and forward photo messages. Plus, they updated the Windows and Mac desktop versions. At this time, the company has not made any announcements on when or if they will offer updates to the Blackberry 10 or Windows Phone.

The company is in major competition with Skype and Apple’s FaceTime. To date, Viber is one of the fastest growing web-messaging and telephony companies that currently have over 400 million users from around the world.

Earlier this year, Viber was acquired by a Japanese-based company called Rakuten for about $900 million. At the time of the purchase, Viber had about 300 million users. The latest figures suggest that the company has seen an increase of at least 100 million users in less than a year.

Viber’s new mobile app has been designed to make it easier and faster for users to connect via their phones and computers with anyone in the world. Plus, it allows them to make free calls from their phones to other Viber users. In addition, app users can transfer video calls from their mobile phone to their desktop.

The fresh enhancements made to the Viber app are certain to be a hit with many users.
