The intrepid videomakers at Ninten2TV have created a side by side comparison of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for 3DS and N64 using scenes from this week’s announcement trailer, and it looks pretty gorgeous:
The game certainly appears crisper with an upgraded polygon count, better lighting effects and an even more terrifying moon than normal. The textures are vastly improved as well.
Meanwhile Nintendo has also released this gorgeous frame-worthy promotional art for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D that shows off many of the game’s memorable scenes and characters:
A Majora’s Mask remake has been long sought after by fans ever since the remastered Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out for the Nintendo 3DS to high acclaim.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D is expected to release in Spring 2015, and Nintendo has already announced a special collector’s edition that includes a metal steelbook case, Majora’s Mask pin, and poster.
