2015 is finally starting to get interesting, with over 10 games launching throughout the week of January 19, 2015 – most we have seen out of the entire year so far. This week’s line-up includes much anticipated titles like Resident Evil HD Remaster, Citizens of Earth and the long-awaited Gat Out of Hell standalone expansion for Saint Row IV. Additionally, Gamer Headlines will be reviewing a bunch of the following games, so look out for that. Now, with that being said, enjoy this week’s video game releases!

  • Best of Arcade Games

  • Blackguards 2

Blackguards 2 is the sequel to the Turn-Based Strategy RPG involving hexagonal grid movement. It’s up to you to defeat the Vanquishers of the Nine Hordes by recruiting mercenaries, gaining additional abilities and wreaking havoc in Aventuria through the 20 hours of gameplay this experience has to offer.

 

  • Citizens of Earth

Conquer the world as the newly elected Vice President in the Earthbound/Suikoden/Pokémon-inspired RPG Citizens of Earth. Recruit NPC characters to fight your battles without getting your hands dirty to save the world from total madness. Look out for our review in the coming days.

 

  • Ironclad Tactics

Platforms: PlayStation 4 (Digital Only)

Price: $14.99 (+20% Discount for PlayStation Plus Members)

Two years after its original PC debut, the fast-paced, cards-based Tactics game, Ironclad Tactics, is now heading to the PS4. This version of the title will include all of the available add-on campaigns, while also keeping its very engaging co-op element where you and a friend can play through it together in its entirety.

 

  • Motorcycle Club

Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

Price: $39.99

Race with 22 official motorcycles including licenses from BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki. You’ll be able to take on the game’ s Tournament Mode through 20 difficult circuits or the 40 challenges with the most faithfully reproduced ways to play.

 

  • Resident Evil HD Remaster

Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC – (Digital Only on All Platforms)

Price: $19.99

Revisit the zombie-infested mansion in the HD remastering of the 1996 Survival Horror classic. Though this release is an upgraded version of the 2002 Gamecube remake, you will still be able to enjoy the enhanced visuals, new control scheme, widescreen support and the high quality sound as you take on the role of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield of the S.T.A.R.S elite task force as they investigate the sudden disappearance of their fellow team members in the outskirts of Raccoon City.   • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

Deep Silver is bringing Saints Row IV to current gen consoles with the Re-Elected version of the 2014 Open World title. As the President of the United States and the Leader of the Saints, you must save Steelport from the evil Zinyack in a ridiculously over-the-top virtual rendition of the city. Additionally, the Re-Elected package comes in with the Gat Out of Hell expansion, which can also be bought separately. Look out for Gamer Headlines’ review this week.

 

  • Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell

Platforms: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC

Price: $19.99

In this standalone expansion for Saints Row IV, you take on the role of Johnny Gat as he descends to the depths of well, with his ally Kinzie, to save the Leader of the Saints that has been kidnapped by Satan. We will also have a review up for this title so stay tuned.

 

  • Splice

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 – (Digital Only on Both Platform)

Price: $14.99 (+20% Discount for PlayStation Plus Member, Cross-Buy)

Splice is a Puzzle game inspired by science where you must rearrange cellular stands. It’s an immersive experience that will keep you hooked with its cinematic soundtrack and rewardingly difficult gameplay.   • Punch-Out!!

Platform: Wii U (Digital Only)

Price: $19.99 ($9.99 for the First Week of Release)

Announced for the Wii U eShop during last week’s Nintendo Direct, the 2009 Wii Punch-Out!! title is coming to Nintendo’s digital distribution platform this week. Because the original game supported the Wii Classic Controller, it will be playable with the Wii U GamePad as well. Additionally, it will be 50 percent off for the first week following its release.

 

  • The Next Penelope

Platform: PC (Digital Only)

Price: $TBD (Early Access)

The Next Penelope is an indie-developed, fast-paced action Racing game that has a huge emphasis on challenge, risk-taking and rewards. It’s releasing on Steam Early Access this week, so expect the full release within the coming months.

  • Grey Goo

Platform: PC (Digital Only)

Price: $TBD

As one of three factions: The Humans, The Beta or The Goo, you must master the classic Real-Time Strategy mechanics to survive and take control of the Ecosystem 9 planet. You can also take the fight outside of Single-Player and face against additional opponents through Matchmaking, or simply create your own maps and share them with the community.
