Razer Kaira Pro Announced, Targeting Xbox Gamers

The Razer Kaira Pro is the name of Razer’s latest gaming headset which the company officially unveiled just moments ago. This happens to be Razer’s first headset advertised as an audio gadget specifically optimized for cloud gaming. In layman’s terms… nah, that doesn’t really mean anything, no matter how many buzzwords Razer’s marketing deparment can come up with.

But that doesn’t mean the Kaira Pro isn’t a remarkable headset, mind you. It features the company’s signature TriForce Titanium 50mm Drivers, Bluetooth 5.0 support, and an unconventional microphone array that employes a supercardioid microphone akin to what you’d normally see mounted on cameras during documentary shoots.

The so-called shotgun microphone is paired by a number of omnidirectional mics designed to pick up and eliminate noise. The aforementioned BLE 5.0 standard, meanwhile, allows for up to 10 meters, or 30 feet of effective range. Dual-channel 2.4Ghz/5GHz connectivity is on offer, as well, with Razer claiming the Kaira Pro has been rated for up to 15 hours of operation on a single battery charge.

Pre-orders from Razer’s website will open on November 5th, at least in the U.S. The Kaira Pro will retail at $149.99, plus applicable sales tax, (or VAT, outside of the U.S.).
