Since NeoGAF’s leaked report in April, people have been speculating that Beyond: Two Souls will come to the PS4: it has just been a matter of when it will be confirmed. And while this latest report is not a confirmation, it furthers people’s beliefs that the port is inevitable. According to two German retailers, Alcom and World of Games (the latter had the listing removed), Beyond: Two Souls is being listed for the PS4.
Again, this is coming off of NeoGAF’s report that Beyond’s PS4 details were leaked with a programmer’s portfolio, who showed brief screenshots and even mentioned the ‘Director’s Cut Version.’ So it is looking like the public will get a version for current generation soon, but we will have to wait patiently for the eventual announcement.
Now, the game starring Ellen Page, which came out last October, was developed by Quantic Dream: the developers behind Heavy Rain. And while the game sold more than a million copies, it did receive fairly mixed reviews: it had a seventy percent on Metacritic and a seventy-two percent on Game Rankings. On top of this, the game received some well publicized controversy about a particular shower scene with Ellen Page: but I guess any publicity is good publicity.
For now, the public will just have to wait and see about Beyond: Two Souls on the PS4; while I did not personally buy the game, I might try the eventual Director’s Cut because I was a huge fan of Heavy Rain (the developer’s previous game). So what do you think of Beyond: Two Souls for the PS4? Will you purchase it? Or do you think it is a waste of money? Let us know in the comment section below.
