RUMOR: Call of Duty: World at War 2 “leaked” on Amazon

by GH Staff

Recently, an apparent placeholder cover for Treyarch’s next Call of Duty game was leaked on Amazon. And it’s not the game you’d expect, either.

Call of Duty: World at War II

That’s right, Call of Duty: World at War II.

Now, we have no other info on this being real or not. So, this is to be taken as a rumor, nothing more. It was supposedly leaked on Amazon, and is clearly supposed to be a placeholder.

But, the problems with this start with the fact that Treyarch’s Black Ops series was supposed to follow World at War, and was meant to be in the same universe. There is also the problem that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare isn’t out yet, and we haven’t seen any of it’s multiplayer either.

But, this could be possible. Not many games have released lately focusing on WWII, so this would be a way to give what many people want. Treyarch also seems to like doing more “unique” concepts, seen with Zombies and the setting and gadgets of Black Ops and Black Ops 2.

But, for those who are not familiar with it, World at War was the Treyarch game that followed Call of Duty 4. It introduced the widely loved and popular Zombies mode, as well as many loved characters.

So, what do you guys think? Would you like to see a direct World at War sequel? Maybe one that focuses on a different faction in WWII? Do you think this has any chance of being real?
