A researcher in security just discovered what seems to be a rather critical breach in Sony’s PlayStation Network. With SQL injection, it is apparently possible to access users data.
Everyone remembers this image of Sony’s CEO Kazuo Hirai bowing down in apologies during a press conference. That was in 2011 after a security breach that shook up the entire PSN. Will Sony have to apologize for yet another breach in the upcoming weeks? It might look that way, according to some news coming from a hacker.

A 20 years old Austrian hacker, Aria Akhavan, discovered a breach in the PlayStation Network website. According to Golem.de, the hacker has warned Sony approximately two weeks ago without receiving any response from the company.
This time it is a radio silence from Sony even though the breach appears to be quite important. Thanks to SQL injection, you could possibly access PSN users’ data through a simple web browser. Interrogated by Effect hacking, Aria Akhvan added that the breach has yet to be sealed by Sony.
