How We Verify Deals
How GamerHeadlines verifies deals
Every offer on this section is sourced from an official first-party channel: the store page, an official publisher announcement, or a documented store API. We never list community or aggregator-only sources.
Field-level verification
When a source exposes structured data, we compare the product, edition, content type, store, region, currency, prices, discount, and campaign dates against what we already stored. A card shows a “Last verified” date only after a complete, field-level match against the official source.
Reachability is not verification
Confirming that an official URL is online is recorded separately and never advances the “Last verified” date. A reachable page with no comparable fields is not treated as a verified price or window.
Manual review
Human review records who approved a card and when, but approval alone does not create official verification. A card may only be published when a fresh exact verification exists or a documented, expiring manual override has been recorded by an editor.
Honest limits
Some offers, such as regional subscriptions or announcements without a stable store page, are shown as informational. Where a store does not expose a machine-readable field, we say so instead of guessing.
