Developer Erik Asmussen released Update 10.3 for Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball on September 27, 2026.

The patch for the physics-based multiplayer dodgeball game on Steam adjusts scoreboards, bot pathfinding, balance, and several bugs.

Scoreboard, Audio, and Bot Changes

Scoreboards now display progress bars toward a goal. In rounds where individual scores or status matter, such as Free For All and Elimination, the scoreboard shows small portraits of the bots. Round wins are shown with a separate progress meter.

The external audio visualizer now works with browsers. Players can leave the visualizer on Auto mode or select their browser directly from the audio settings page.

Bot pathfinding is improved. Bots are slightly less rigid about following specific routes, which makes them feel more realistic. In racing modes, bots plan ahead better to target the next checkpoint more smoothly.

Balance and Bug Fixes

The temporary shield gained when picking up the super ball has been removed. Picking up a ball or cube now immediately removes the spawn shield instead of just making it decay faster. More logic was added to prevent bots from catching in PvE modes.

Cube Capture spawn locations in the Cage map were moved because it was too easy to receive the cube while the spawn shield was still active. The singleplayer bot match countdown now starts at 3 instead of 5. Getting hit with a ball while carrying a health meter now adds a 1 second shield to prevent extremely rapid hits.

Arena light bars in the Fort map no longer flash so brightly. Game launch is quicker and smoother. Chat window performance is improved, and chat messages now have a short animation when they appear.

Steam stat sync and uploads are more reliable. The patch fixes a few cases of null references causing game instability. It adds protection against being able to catch fireball throws in multiplayer due to latency. Code was also added to protect against bots being flagged as on the ground when they were actually in the air. The patch fixes a blank space in the chat window and inconsistent Escape key behavior on end of match menus.

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball has been on Steam for years and still receives regular free updates from the developer. It belongs to the same indie multiplayer scene as other Steam co-op releases such as Delverium and Dumpster Gang.
