SCS Software has launched Return to Brackenreach, the 2026 Halloween World of Trucks event for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. The official Steam announcement confirms the event is live now and ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 23:59 UTC.

Drivers can chase three separate objectives during the event. The personal goal asks for 15 Halloween deliveries in total, including 3 deliveries to Castle Brackenhelm and 3 deliveries from Castle Brackenhelm. Progress can be split across ETS2, ATS, or both games. The community goal requires 1,300,000 combined deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies, delivered to or from any city including Castle Brackenhelm in Brackenreach. The third objective is a discovery bonus. Find the Witches’ House hidden inside Brackenreach by driving to it.

Halloween Goals and Rewards

Each objective carries its own Steam inventory reward for both games. Completing the personal goal grants a unique World of Trucks Achievement and the Wisp Lantern cabin item. If the community goal is met and a player has finished the personal goal, SCS Software adds the Key to Brackenreach hanging cabin item. Discovering the Witches’ House unlocks the Ember Grimoire cabin item. Players also receive last year’s Spooky Horn vehicle accessory at the same time.

The personal goal gates the community reward. A driver cannot receive the Key to Brackenreach without completing 15 Halloween deliveries, even after the community reaches 1,300,000 combined deliveries. The Witches’ House discovery works as a separate bonus, so the Ember Grimoire can be collected without waiting for the community result.

Goal Requirement Reward
Personal goal 15 Halloween deliveries, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, using ETS2, ATS, or both combined World of Trucks Achievement and Wisp Lantern cabin item
Community goal 1,300,000 combined deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies, delivered to or from any city including Castle Brackenhelm in Brackenreach Key to Brackenreach hanging cabin item, if personal goal is also completed
Discovery bonus Find the Witches’ House hidden inside Brackenreach by driving to it Ember Grimoire cabin item

How to Take Part in Brackenreach

Players must use External Contracts with a profile connected to World of Trucks. Four cargo types appear for the event: Halloween Treats, Halloween Costumes, Halloween Herbs & Spices, and Halloween Crafts. When you accept event cargo bound for Castle Brackenhelm, a portal to Brackenreach appears. It shows on the map as a spiral icon with falling autumn leaves.

Leaving Brackenreach with cargo takes you to the cargo destination. Leaving without cargo sends you to a random city for a new job, so drivers who finish a delivery inside the Halloween area can pick up their next route without a detour.

The official Steam announcement also notes a developer livestream on Monday, October 19, at 6 pm CEST on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, where SCS Software will discuss how the event was designed. The studio recently confirmed its Poznan Game Arena 2026 booth with playable DLCs for both truck simulators. Players can share progress with the #ReturnToBrackenreach hashtag.

What Changes for Players

All event rewards are delivered as Steam inventory items for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Because personal progress can be split across both games, drivers do not need to repeat the 15 deliveries in each title. The same Brackenreach portal and Halloween cargo set run through World of Trucks in both games. American Truck Simulator players also have the British Columbia DLC on the horizon beyond the event.

The Spooky Horn vehicle accessory from last year’s event also returns and is delivered at the same time as the other rewards, according to the Steam announcement. The event closes on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, so drivers have until then to finish the 15 deliveries and find the Witches’ House.
