Titanfall Runs At 30 FPS And Sub-720p on Xbox 360, Insider Claims

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is being developed by Bluepoint Games, a studio responsible for porting games for HD re-releases such as Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. A well known gaming insider, Pete Dodd, got his hands on some interesting news about Titanfall’s Xbox 360 version which to this day very little is know about. He says on Twitter:

Rumors are rumors and you can take that how you will. But if the recent resolution fuss over Titanfall’s Xbox One 792p output is anything to worry about, this report might not be far from the truth. Many are taken aback by this report, citing that Call of Duty games always maintain 60fps on Xbox 360. So it’s unthinkable that Titanfall, developed by Respawn Entertainment, who are ex-COD devs, could not do the same, at least according to gamers. Initial chatter suggested that the Xbox 360 version would run at 60fps like the Xbox One and PC versions and Bluepoint was given extra time to polish the port, perhaps for this very reason. This is however not dissimilar to the Xbox 360 versions of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 compared to the PC and next gen counterparts, where the Xbox 360 version is graphically inferior, with only 30fps output. You could say that it’s the graphical power of Titanfall that’s demanding, just like the Battlefield games, which would cause a 360 port to be less capable. Respawn Entertainment haven’t confirmed anything yet, so we’ll have to see when the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall launches on March 25 2014.
