[dropcap size=dropcap]X[/dropcap]box director of product planning Albert Penello said in a statement on Reddit that Xbox One will turn on faster than any television set when it is powered from its stand-by mode. This is something amazing and it means that if you say “Xbox On” and also turn on your television set at the same time, the gaming console is most likely to show picture first.
For an avid gamer, the most awaiting moments are when you turn on your Xbox 360 and wait for the screen to appear. Thankfully that part is gone. Moreover, keeping your Xbox console on full power to download a game is a great feature. To give a much clearer picture Penello explains console functionality. There will be three power stages and “On is On. Off is Off. Standby allows ‘Xbox On’, quick resume, checking for updates, etc.” This clearly shows that the next gen consoles are much smarter and fast than the current generation consoles.
Penello further added “[Standby] is the mode we’d like to see people in, obviously, so you get back to gaming or watching TV really quick. From standby, it’s likely the Xbox will be on before the TV is completely powered up.”
There was nothing said about time required by Xbox One to boot up from the Off settings and no other specific information was available for its standby mode.
Starting November 22, Xbox One will launched in 22 territories.
