Up until now, Sony’s PS4 has been selling like crazy, for a multitude of reasons, one of which being the significantly lower price as opposed to Microsoft’s Xbox One. With Titanfall being released, we’ve seen increases in Xbox One sales, both because of the popularity of Respawn’s FPS and because of great bundle deals that offered a free copy of Titanfall for each purchased Xbox One. The deals are only getting sweeter it seems, with Target offering up a new bundle for the Xbox One.
Target’s bundle costs $450 and not only does it include Titanfall, but it also provides customers with a free 1-year Xbox Live subscription. Considering that a yearly subscription for Xbox Live (which is required for Titanfall, by the way) costs $60, this essentially brings down the Xbox One’s price to $390, and that’s including a free copy of Titanfall too. The deal is offered as such through the retailer’s online store however, and if you want to pick up the bundle personally, it will set you back $500. Thus, sticking to online shopping is your best bet. There are other notable Xbox One sales going on too. Target is also offering a “Buy 2, get 1 free” deal on Xbox One games, and while the roster isn’t particularly big, you can pick up titles such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts or Battlefield 4.
And, if you want to play some split-screen (not that there are many games that offer you the chance right now, mind you), you can pick up an additional Xbox One controller from Best Buy for $10, which is a bargain. Officially, the Titanfall Xbox One bundle still costs $450, but that still sets it on a competitive level with Sony’s Playstation 4. The truth is, Microsoft does have some catching up to do when compared to Sony’s sales figures, so this is definitely a promising start.
