While the studio name Humongous Entertainment may not ring a bell, the games they made were highly popular in the 90’s. Humongous is responsible for children’s educational games such as Putt-Putt, Spy Fox, Pajama Sam, and Freddi Fish. These titles are certainly nostalgic for any kid of the 90’s, and by making these titles available on Steam, it allows for a new generation kids to experience the fun of point-and-click adventure games, while learning a thing or two along the way.
As of now, six titles are available, with more on the way in the coming weeks. The following titles are available right now:
- Putt-Putt joins the parade
- Freddi Fish and the case of the missing kelp seeds
- Pajama Sam: no need to hide when it’s dark outside
- Spy Fox in: Dry Cereal
- Putt-Putt and Pep’s Balloon-o-Rama
- Freddi Fish and Luther’s Maze Madness
There are still 21 other titles being released between April 17th – June 6th. You can check out the full schedule on Polygon’s website.
So, do you plan on diving in and re-living the good old days with your childhood games? Or do you have young family members now that you know would love to experience this for themselves? Either way, I believe it’s a great opportunity for people to see some awesome and somewhat forgotten titles Humongous brought us in the 90’s.
