Benox’s Amazing Spiderman 2 for the Xbox One has seemingly turned up out of the blue on the Xbox One’s Marketplace, surprising fans everywhere. The seemingly dodgy and “accidental release” feel around the game’s release comes from the fact that Activision went out to say that the game was going to be delayed indefinitely a few weeks back, and that according to GameStop and Amazon, the game’s physical copy for the Xbox One is delayed till July 1st. Although this comes as a surprise, Spiderman 2 fans celebrate as the game is already out on every other last and next-gen console (yes, even on the Wii U) and can finally play through the goodness of technology that is their TV.
This 10GB game will set you back $60 so hold onto your web-slingers. Now, having played Amazing Spiderman 2 on PC, I know it is quite buggy, and not the best Spiderman game out there compared to the glory that is Spiderman 2 for the PS2, so before you go rushing to pick up this game, try playing the older Spiderman games if you can. Although there seems to be much talk over if this was a “Oops, wrong button” scenario, Microsoft’s Major Nelson announced the release of the game for Xbox 360 and Xbox One on his blog here.
