The Pokemon Company has recently trademarked the titles “Pokken Fighters” and “Pokken Tournament” in Europe. Last year the same names were trademarked in the US.
Now before you get too excited, no one knows what these titles may refer to. It could mean a new Pokemon movie is coming out, or perhaps a new TV series. Of course, us gamers hope to see a new Wii U or 3DS game with these titles. And we might just be in luck.
Under the heading “Lists of goods and services” on the trademark documents, there are many keywords that indicate that this could possibly be a Pokemon video game.
With any luck, this could mean a new Pokemon Stadium coming out, or maybe a Pokemon-styled Mortal Kombat type of game. We’ll just have to wait for more information. Hopefully, Nintendo will shed a little light on these titles at the upcoming E3 show!
