Mortal Kombat 10 reveal Imminent

by GH Staff

It has been a long time since the last Mortal Kombat to hit consoles and the wait for the inevitable sequel may finally be announced as early as next week. Ed boon has yet again teased us with another kryptic tweet “who’s next” and curiously enough, has changed his profile picture to the famous dragon symbol that has been a stable in every Mortal Kombat title to date. A mysterious countdown, which is slated to end on June 2nd was the first hint at the games potential reveal date, exactly one week before E3 2014. Judging from the way the last game was revealed, we can expect a trailer or a teaser of some form to show up once the countdown ends. However, there have been other rumors stating that a new Injustice game is in development and could be the game that is shown at E3. Although, speculative, it is high unlikely it will be a new DC game since the last one was just released last year and it has been about 3 years since NetherRealm studios has released their trademark bloody fighter game.

The image “who’s next” came through a leaked by All Day Gamers who received an leaked poster of the upcoming fighter. They had received the image yesterday afternoon, it depicts a broken spinal column with the background being black. Another interesting fact about this image is a redesigned feature on the dragon logo on the bottom, which is also accompanied  by the “who’s next’ quote. Once this leaked was posted online, Ed Boon has then decided to change his twitter to what is it now. The official Mortal Kombat Facebook  page also updated the profile and cover photo with the dragon logo and “who’s next” respectively. This further indicates that the game will be shown to the public very soon.

So is Ed Boon trolling us with this image, or is the next Mortal Kombat around the corner? Either way gamers will find out next week when the countdown reaches its finale on June 2nd. Keep it here on Gamerheadlines for the latest update on Mortal Kombat.
