Terraria Digs Its Way to Xbox One and PS4

Terraria publisher 505 Games has issued a statement today regarding a release of the massively popular world-crafting adventure on Xbox One and PS4. No release date was given except “later in 2014“, but promises to include the 1.2 content, which fixed many bugs and added tons of new gameplay changes alongside graphic updates and so forth.

It was also announced the next-gen version will be shown of at this year’s E3 and will feature cross-play and cross-save functionality on the PS Vita. Released back in 2011 on PC, the game has been made available other systems since such as PS3, Xbox 360, Android, and more, so it shouldn’t be a surprise its making the leap to next-gen.

The game was an indie project that gained massive popularity due to its addictive gameplay, in which players are able to create their own worlds, complete with housing, enemies, and a level of exploration that’s absolutely gigantic. It stands as one of the most successful indie games ever, maintaining a fanbase that are constantly active in the Terraria community.
