PC gamers are already familiar with the prowess and performance ability of their own machine, so many won’t be surprised to learn that the Windows release of GTA 5 will be putting home systems through their paces. Sources indicate that the PC version of the explosively popular game will “take full advantage of the power of PC.”

Do they have any further details on that? Well, there will be certain improvements to the game, including enhanced graphical detail and resolution, an upgrade on AI, as well as in-game changes, such as denser traffic, new wildlife, increased damage effects and advanced weather features.

Not only that, but GTA 5 on PC will also include a video editor for players to create their own movies, perhaps drawing influence from the rise of Twitch popularity that began with the new-gen consoles recently. In terms of multiplayer, Rockstar Games are keeping their promise of allowing players to keep their progress and carry it over from the console versions.

Currently there is no concrete release date, but Steam have listed the PC release as Fall this year.

GTA 5 was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 2013 and has received critical praise from reviewers and gamers alike. The game scored an average of 97/100 from many publications, with Edge magazine giving it a perfect 10 score.

So who’s excited about the PC release? Let us know in the comments what you think about these latest additions to the game.
