Dark Souls II’s second DLC add-on, Crown of the Old Iron King, has had new details revealed on the official Japanese website for the title.
The website features an image and extensive text that is written in Japanese, but thanks to the internet — specifically talking about Reddit in this instance — the entire message has been cracked. Reddit user Delicious_Skal transcribed the text into English, with it stating:
“Chapter 2 The Crown of the Iron King
“DLC content volume 2.
“At the end of Iron Keep, lies a sot and smoke covered stage called the “Tower of Black Mist,” and another challenge for one of the lost crowns.
“Erected within the untrodden crater are the shadows of a glorious past.
“Players who have not purchased the DLC can also be summoned to the more difficult area.”
The first DLC for Dark Souls II, Crown of the Sunken King, offered users some insight into what they should be expecting in further add-ons, with the scenario for Crown of the Old Iron King extremely plausible.
Crown of the Old Iron King is scheduled for release on August 26th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
