PlayStation Network, as stated on The Official PlayStation Blog, are starting their aptly-named “Anime Sale” as of today, to the resounding joy of anime fans such as myself.
The Sale slashes all of the games on its list down to 50%, half off, and 75% for PlayStation Plus users.
While PlayStation Network is only calling this an “Anime” sale, the discounts spread to TV shows, games, and movies alike. Here’s some of the titles that stuck out on the sale list.
BLAZBLUE: CHRONOPHANTASMA
A favorite of and familiar name to hardcore fighting fans the world over, BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, the most recent entry into the series, is at a reduced price for the PlayStation 3. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND, will also be on sale, but for the PlayStation Vita.
DEVIL MAY CRY: HD COLLECTION
Tired of looking at Emo Dante’s face? Want to get into this beloved franchise? Both? Then check out the Devil May Cry: HD COLLECTION at a discounted price for the PlayStation 3. This series was widely considered one of the best in the hack n’ slash genre, and the games still hold up today, jokes and all.
JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: ALL-STAR BATTLE ROYAL
If I could pick one word to describe JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (besides kick-ass), it would definitely be FABULOUS. The series is jam-packed with non-sequitur humor, insane fights, and likable characters. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Royal captures the zaniness of the series with its stylized graphics and character interaction, along with being a decent fighting game in its own right. It’s available via the Network on PlayStation 3.
SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI: PERSONA 3 FES
The Persona series has a strong cult following as an RPG both in Japan and in the U.S. Veteran players can relieve Persona 3 FES and new players have a great chance to get into the series while it’s on sale for PlayStation 3 owners.
