To celebrate the impending release of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Microsoft has unveiled a $65 Limited Edition controller set to launch alongside the game. As you can see from the picture above, the “Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Wireless Controller” sports a grey, black, and gold exterior to match the aesthetic of the Sentinel Task Force in the game. You’ll also notice the Advanced Warfare logo placed below the d-pad and thumb sticks.
As far as features are concerned, you’re basically paying the extra $5 for the snazzy design. All other assets like haptic feedback triggers and a revised d-pad remain the same as the traditional Xbox One remote. The official box art does advertise that gamers will be able to enjoy some additional “supply drop bonus content” with their purchase as well. Suffice to say, if you want the most complete Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare experience money can buy, Microsoft hopes it starts by picking up this special remote.
In case you forgot, Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to arrive on a variety of platforms on November 4th. As has been the case with many previous games in the series, Xbox does indeed have priority to limited edition items like this, as well as console bundles, and first access to map and weapon DLC. This particular initiative further proves that Microsoft’s ties with Activision and Call Of Duty remain stronger than ever.
Could you ever be swayed to spend the extra money on this limited edition controller? Tell me your thoughts in the comments section below!
