Bored of Diablo 3 or simply don’t have anything to play? Give Torchlight 2 a chance! The game is now free on Steam until Sunday, giving you a chance to test this beautifully crafted action-RPG. And, should you fall in love with it, there’s a 75% discount on it until Monday. Thus, Torchlight 2 will cost a measly $5 for the next few days, and honestly, it’s a bargain at that price. It offers a lot of bangs for the buck, and will keep you entertained and smiling for a long time to come.
The game is immensely satisfying to play, even in its simplicity. And don’t take my word for it! Metacritic reviewers gave it an 88/100, while the users gave it an 86/100. PC Gamer rated it 88/100 as well, while IGN gave it a 9.1. That’s not too bad at all for a game that came from a modest and low-budget developer team, mainly Runic.
Should you decide to give it a go, make sure to download the Synergies mod from the Steam Workshop as well, since you’ll be getting access to a greater experience, with more classes, skills, maps, loot and obviously, monsters to clobber into bits and pieces. The PC requirements for Torchlight 2 aren’t colossal either, so pretty much anyone can enjoy the game, even notebook users. Log onto Steam, download the game, and enjoy the ride, you really have nothing to lose!
