Design and Display
The front panel houses a 4.5 inch TFT capacitive screen which is 540*960 pixel resolution and 245 ppi pixel density. In design it is more squared in appearance as compared to other Samsung galaxy models. The power button and volume rocker is on the right edge which is the standard followed by Samsung in all Galaxy models. Colors feel a bit washed out and the images are not very sharp.
Specifications, Camera and Battery
The 1.7 GHz dual core processor with 1.5GB RAM is perfect combination of speed with performance. It has an internal 8GB RAM with external SD card to support up to 64GB memory. It comes with android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean android operating system with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz skinned over it. The performance of the phone is really good in terms of multi-tasking and there is no visual lag in opening and closing applications. It is fitted with 5MP rear camera which is pretty decent and a VGA front camera to support video calling. The 2100 mAh gives a decent talk time of 11 hours on 3G.

It is the first high power android phone from Huawei with Super AMOLED 4.3 inch display of 540*960 pixel resolution and 256 ppi pixel density. The screen looks simply awesome with amazing brightness and color reproduction. The rear panel is glossy and smooth and is non removable.

It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory. It comes preloaded with android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a planned upgrade to 4.2 Jelly Bean. The performance of the phone is pretty decent keeping in mind it has only 1 GB RAM. It is fitted with 8MP rear camera with LED flash which clicks amazing pictures both in day light and low light. The front camera is VGA to support video calling. Even the video recording from the rear camera is of top notch quality. The phone is integrated with an 1800 mAh battery which gives a whole day battery life on mixed usage. The battery is non removable which for some reason is also adopted by other phone manufacturers.
Overall
After extensive testing, we found Huawei Ascend P1 performing better in terms of camera, battery life and display as compared to Samsung Galaxy Express 2. Hence our recommendation is for the same.
