At PAX Prime this past weekend, Nintendo hosted a Zelda Fan gathering for their upcoming title Hyrule Warriors. The fans were pumped to play the demo at the Nintendo booth. So pumped that many of them dressed up as their favorite Legend of Zelda Characters. The costumes are just fantastic and it’s great that the community of Zelda fans had a dedicated spot to go at PAX. Reception of the game has been pretty good so far and the buzz has been even better. Nintendo of America tweeted this out after the fan meet up:

The game features a survival mode where you get to fight off endless waves of enemies as Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf just to name a few. Players everywhere agree, this style is a welcomed change to the normal Zelda format. While going on legendary grand adventures is exciting… Sometimes fans of the series just want to kill some baddies and this game definitely delivers on that. Nintendo seems to be quite proud of this game even though it’s a bit different from what they usually release. It’s a strange title in the way that it doesn’t really have much to do with the Legend of Zelda storyline. Then again, neither did Soul Calibur where Link was a playable character.
However, gamers don’t seem to mind. They are all craving some beautifully awesome Link action built using the power of the Wii U. The Zelda characters and overall graphics look great on this system and thankfully Wii U users can finally control their favorite sword-wielding character with the Wii U Gamepad. Hyrule Warriors is also not just Dynasty Warriors with a Legend of Zelda skin draped over it. It has many things that make it a unique gaming experience.
A different but exciting new Wii U exclusive that has Zelda fans everywhere anxious to play. Nintendo seems to be hinting at other features in the game that they haven’t officially announced yet but from the footage we’ve seen, there may be a playable version of the original Legend of Zelda that could possibly unlock different things in the game. This is making gamers think that maybe under the endless wave exterior that this game might have many original features we’ve never seen in a Zelda game before. Nintendo usually doesn’t like to spoil those kinds of thing though so we will probably be stuck waiting till the game’s release. In any case, the game definitely looks exciting, fresh and fun… What more could you ask for?
Hyrule Warriors is set to release September 26th Exclusively for Wii U
