Playstation Store’s Top Sellers of August

As we move into September, which is looking to be a good month for AAA releases (Destiny, NHL 15, Shadows of Morodor) it’s hard not to look back at the the games that truly captivated us in the previous month. With its many releases, August was a strong month for gaming and a recent article on the Playstation blog lists the top sellers of the Playstation Store.

Last month there was a lot of hype around The Last of Us Remastered, and unsurprisingly to many it has landed very near to the top of the list holding a number two spot as the most purchased game from the Playstation Store. The number one most purchased PS4 game from the Playstation Store was Diablo III: RoS – Ultimate Evil Edition which oddly enough only made number two on the PS3 list. Taking the crown as the most purchased PS3 game was Minecraft which, due to its ever growing popularity among gamers, doesn’t come as quite a shock.

Below, I compiled a condensed list of the top five downloads for each platform, according to the Playstation blog.
