The amount of hype and anticipation surrounding this year’s newest entry into Nintendo’s Smash Bros. franchise, Super Smash Bros. for both 3DS and Wii U, is at an all time high due to an avalanche of leaks, demos, and, obviously, the Japanese release of the game on 9/13/2014.
To add some fire to the already raging Super Smash Bros. flame , a listing from Walmart’s official website has been posted detailing an Amiibo starter bundle for the Wii U game, which prospective buyers can pre-order right now.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Gets Amiibo Starter Bundle
The Amiibo starter bundle will include a copy of the Wii U version of the Super Smash Bros., alongside 3 of the previously revealed Amiibo figurines – Link, Mario, and Pikachu.
Gamers interested in the Super Smash Bros. Wii U Amiibo starter bundle can expect to shell out $99.99 for it (or your regional equivalent.)
As for the release date of the bundle, the standard 12/31/2014 placeholder date is still being employed, however, this will be most likely be amended once Nintendo releases an official announcement regarding Super Smash Bros. Wii U’s release date.
The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is set to release on October 3rd, 2014 for both North America and Europe, and released yesterday (9/13/2014) in Japan. The Wii U version of the game does not have an official release date at this time, but is expected to come out sometime this Fall/Holiday 2014.
In related news, a demo of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will go live on September 19th in the United States. Additionally, Nintendo has announced that codes for the demo were sent out to select members via email.
