A new multiplayer game mode has been announced for the upcoming FPS Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. The mode is called ‘Momentum’ and is heavily inspired by the game mode from Call of Duty 3 and World at War called War. The new mode was revealed on IGN and you can check out the full video below. It features seven minutes of multiplayer gameplay showing off the brand new mode.
Momentum essentially plays like a linear version of domination. If you have ever played the War game mode from Call of Duty 3 or Call of Duty World at War, you will feel right at home. Five flags are placed and each team fights for one flag at a time, the first team to earn all five flags will win. Games can last for a long time due to a tug of war like effect where both teams can be fighting over the same flag for a long period of time.
Momentum joins a strong list of game modes for Advanced Warfare. New game mode Uplink was announced at the multiplayer reveal, along with the return of Hardpoint and Search and Destroy. Advanced Warfare also features brand new movement with the all new exoskeleton, improved player customisation and a brand new loot system for armour and weapons.
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be launching on November 4th worldwide. If you pre-order the game you will receive the ‘Day Zero’ early access, meaning you will receive early access to the game and be able to play one day early. You will also receive one day of double XP, three weapons and a special ‘bullet brass’ exoskeleton for your character.
