After the preview that released for BattleBorn two days ago, Gearbox have released a brand new hands-on developer walkthrough video for Battleborn that packs in at a whopping eighteen minutes. The video features a short developer interview and then shows off the gameplay of the upcoming shooter. The gameplay focuses on a five player co-op group completing a mission together. Battleborn is being developed by Gearbox Software, most well-known for developing the Borderlands series of games. Battleborn definitely takes inspiration from Borderlands, but that isn’t a bad thing, playing Borderlands with friends was a bunch of fun and Battleborn looks to be taking that to the next level with even more crazy characters and classic Gearbox humour.
You will be able to select from a deep roster of characters with completely different play styles. For example, Oscar Mike is a pure soldier and focuses on using assault rifles and grenades, while Thorn is an elite ranger who uses a bow and magical abilities. If you’re wanting to go for a more dapper approach, then Marquis the gentlemen sniper may be more up your alley.Every single character can be leveled up and customised with their own unique skills that you choose from as you level them up. As the video shows, you will be able to play the game via co-op with your friends. If co-op doesn’t interest you, you can play the game in single player too.
Battleborn will be launching in 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
