Sunset Overdrive has made a name for itself on the Xbox One. It’s an open world third person shooter with some astoundingly over the top gameplay. Of course, we’re still waiting on it’s release, but it looks great. Unfortunately, we’re only seeing this as an Xbox One exclusive. Could Sunset Overdrive come to the PC though?
From an interview with videogamer.com, community and marketing lead of Insomniac James Stevenson said that he’ll “see what happens” as far as a PC port goes. He doesn’t know what the future holds, and “there are no plans for a PC version of the game.” They’re focusing more on the upcoming Xbox One release than a potential release on any other system. However, there are questions left answered. There wasn’t a hard “no” said in the interview. There was an open mind as far as releasing it to the PC. This could mean a future release depending on the success of Sunset Overdrive on Xbox One.
Sunset Overdrive will be coming to Xbox One users on October 28th, along with the Sunset Overdrive White Xbox One bundle. This is one of the first white Xbox Ones to even exist and it’ll be coming out for this game. There’s a ton of hype for that. It seems that the PS4 and Xbox One will now have a war between the white colored consoles. Whether this’ll be good or bad for business, we’ll have to see how the numbers play out.
If anything, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 will be available on PC, so there is hope for you PC users to receive this game.
It’s going to be Xbox One exclusive, that’s a fact we know as of right now, but in the future, could we see a possible PC release date? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments section below!
