With the recent Japanese release of Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS on September 19th, Nintendo is firing on all cylinders to get gamers hyped up (if that is at all possible) for the game’s Western release by way of a new ad/marketing campaign.

Just today, Nintendo has released 3 short videos, each with the tagline, “Settle it in Smash.”

Nintendo’s approach to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS’ recently launched commercials is similar to the classic 1999 Super Smash Bros. 64, short, sweet, and hilarious.

You can watch the newly released Super Smash Bros. 3DS commercials, along with the original, below:

The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. is set to release on October 3rd, 2014 for both North America and Europe, and has already done so in Japan.

The Wii U version of the game does not have an official release date at this time, but is expected to come out sometime this Fall/Holiday 2014.

In related news, one of the GamerHeadlines staff got his hands on the demo, and has written a first impressions preview about it. Read that particular post here.

Gamers interested in seeing the full playable character roster for both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. can click here.

Also, Nintendo is holding an eShop “Super Smashing Sale,” you can read more details on that here.

What are your thoughts on Nintendo’s “Settle It In Smash!” commercials? Did you find them entertaining, amusing, hilarious, all of the above, or none of the above? Why or why not? Are you looking forward to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS?

Also, if you want to know, my personal favorite was the “Training Day” video.
