On September 30, 2014, Forza Horizon 2 was released as the newest addition to the award-winning Forza franchise. Celebrating the release, XBox, Lamborghini and Hot Wheels hosted a children event called “Kids into Car Lovers Day”. This occasion was designed to foster youth creativity and car passion at the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club. To capture this memorable evening, a short video was made and distributed.
Because more parents are seeing less children tacked their favorite supercar onto a wall poster or teenagers driving less, XBox hosted the first-ever “Forza Design Challenge,” to reignite some car passion. As such, they invited several hundred kids from across ten Boys & Girls Clubs to create their most imaginative custom paint jobs for the Lamborghini Huracán. The three winners were selected to see their design brought to life in Forza Horizon 2, which were unveiled at “Kids into Car Lovers Day”. In the future, the winning designs will appear to all Forza Horizon 2 owners as free downloadable contents.
During the exciting occasion, the kids could also play Forza Horizon 2 and see how the winning designs would be featured in the game. In the end, a parade of flashy Lamborghini vehicles arrived to deliver some Hot Wheels toys!
