Destiny Vault of Glass glitch lets players beat Atheon in 2 minutes

Destiny Vault of Glass Atheon Glitch to be fixed

Bungie’s Destiny has had a lot on its plate since its release last month, including, but not limited to, unlimited loot caves, server blackouts, and controversy regarding on-disc downloadable content.

However, looking past all that, Destiny is a fairly competent shooter that is made exponentially enjoyable when playing cooperatively with friends online.

Destiny‘s first raid, the Vault of Glass, is considered to be fairly difficult, due in part to its final boss – Atheon, who takes a ridiculous amount of time defeat (not to mention the multitude of additional enemies that spawn during the battle).

Fortunately, a glitch has been discovered that makes beating Atheon and the Vault of Glass a piece of cake. Keep in mind that it is a glitch, and may most likely be patched out with a hotfix.

See a video of how to exploit Destiny‘s Vault of Glass glitch after the break.

Apparently, what Destiny players want to do is send a player up along the side immediately after you enter Atheon’s room, and then gain his attention.

Next, guide him around the archway. At that moment, Atheon will hopefully glitch out and stop attacking the players. Players can then team up on the boss, firing away with Supers until Atheon falls over the edge, ending the battle.

Congratulations, you have now (unfairly) beaten Atheon and the Vault of Glass.

As previously mentioned, this is a glitch, and will probably be fixed in a matter of days or weeks considering that Bungie has removed the infamous loot cave.

What are your thoughts on this particular Destiny glitch? Will you try and exploit it? Why or why not?

What are your thoughts on Destiny in general? Did it live up to everyone’s lofty expectations, or did it fall victim to the hype train?
