Pokemon ORAS Demo for US Announced

by GH Staff

Today, The Pokemon Company officially announced the Pokemon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demos for the US, what you can do in it, and how to gain access to it.

All of this information comes directly from the Pokemon: ORAS website, which can be found here.

So, if you want to gain access to the ORAS demo, you need to sign up with a Pokemon Trainer Club account, which anyone can do here. Then, once you have signed up, you need to make sure that you have opted in to receive marketing emails, which can be done here, by October 20th. Then, be sure that pokemon@email.pokemon.com is in your adress book so that emails from the newsletter won’t be marked as spam.

By doing all of this, you will get a special code in the October newsletter, which you can then redeem in the Nintendo eShop.

The code that you will receive is for a Special Demo version, and according to the site, this version of the demo will have a unique adventure.

The official description of the demo is as follows.

Start your next Hoenn region adventure early with a special demo version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. This demo features gameplay that you won’t experience anywhere else. During the course of this adventure, you’ll be surprised to encounter familiar Pokémon that can now Mega Evolve! What’s more, you can bring this Pokémon into your full Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game. You can even bring over the reward items that you obtained during your Special Demo Version adventure. Stay tuned for details on how to bring the Pokémon and items into your full game.

You can play the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version as many times as you like. Look for special scenarios that occur if you play every day.

So, not only does this demo have unlimited plays, much like the Smash Bros. Demo, but it also allows you to bring items and Pokemon into the full game when it releases on November 21st. But, from the looks of it, only the special demo offers this capability. So there will probably be another demo released that will act similar to most eShop demos.

So, what do you guys think? Excited for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Looking forward to the demo? Which version will you be buying? Leave your thoughts below. And remember, stay tuned to Gamer Headlines for all of your Pokemon and gaming news!
