Waze is a somewhat new driving app that has been gaining popularity ever since it was released. If you are taking some unknown route you have never seen before you can ask Waze for help and it will redirect you either to a live discussion among the users experiencing the same problem or to a sticky post with the best answer. Other features that are included in Waze consist of various inputs on traffic, crowd, and alternative routes and so on. It seems to include everything you ever wanted out of a driving app. Here is a short rundown of some of its additional features.
- It saves you money as well as fuel
After you have installed Waze, checking it will become a routine task when you are planning to travel somewhere, just as checking your car and/or fuel. Before you get off, make sure to double check the desired route: it may be the case that there is a better (shorter, more efficient) way to get to your destination. After all, this is the purpose of this app: to save you money and time.
- You can turn off the notifications
Any experienced driver who uses GPS knows how irritating these announcements can be, especially when you’re driving and can’t turn them off. Well, this is not the case with Waze. You have the option to hide all notifications while you’re on your way. To do that, you will need to go to menu and settings, general, find notifications button and turn it off. Pretty simple, isn’t it?
- Waze provides a secure driving experience
Every person might need some moments of privacy from time to time. This application makes sure to keep that in mind. You can enable the option that allows you exclusive rights to use this particular app. Of course, it can also store your password. If you happen to forget it, you can always use the “Forgot password” link to reset your password.
- You can safely navigate between different routes
And it easy to do, too! Just switch your Waze app on and take a look at your current location. Then you need to tap and hold your current location for a while, until you will see a “More options” button. There you can set your starting and stopping points, which lets you plan out your next route.
- Add and share unlimited amount of favorites
Waze allows you to always see your top 10 favorite routes displayed as a highlight. However, th actual number of favorite routes you can set is limitless, just as was mentioned before. In order to take a look at the whole list of favorites, you need to open up the highlight of your top 10 routes and then click on the icon that expands the list further. You also have the option to rearrange your list of favorites at any time, so you don’t end up with a constant, never changing top 10.
I hope this little list of Waze’s features can convince you to try it out.
