As most of you already know, Instagram is a very popular mobile app for sharing various pictures and photos. It originates from Silicon Valley and it is considered to be a huge success. The basic concept of this app is really simple: one user uploads a picture of him/her or something that he or she finds interesting while other users share and discuss it. However, such a simple concept has not been realized on this level of quality until this app came to be. It also allows you to add various neat effects to your pictures that make them look even better. Not only it serves many people who love to take selfies, but it adds something to the industry of Photography as a whole. Not only it allows users to produce high quality pictures and photos, but it also serves as a place to discuss them.
No PC version
Instagram is one of the most downloaded apps on both Apple and Play stores. If only there was an official version for PC. Various rumors suggest that Instagram is currently developing their own PC version of the app. However, these are just rumors and there has been no official announcement yet. So, while there is no official version available, there are still ways to get it to work on your personal computer. One of them is to recreate the Android OS on your PC.
How do I do that?
Well, the simplest way to do that is to install an emulator, such as BlueStacks, for example. But this is not as simple as it sounds. For instance, not every computer can run this emulator. It requires a fairly strict set of standards and requirements. If your PC meets these prerequisites, you can proceed to the next step. I must also add that you need the latest version of BlueStacks for this task.
This emulator allows you to search for various Android applications and install them on your computer. Instagram is, of course, one of them. Once you find it in the list and proceed to the official page, you can install the app from there.
Your PC seems like a natural place for you to store all the photos and pictures that are dear to you. It makes a lot of sense to upload them to Instagram without having to re upload these pictures to your mobile device. However, if for some reason you are unable to install the app on your computer, you can use a more time consuming method: select all of the pictures from your PC that you would like to see on Instagram and transfer them to your smartphone. You can do this using a number of options, such as USB transfer or Cloud.
The fact that this app was declared the fastest growing platform in the year 2013 does come as a big surprise. It has even surpassed such giants of the industry as Twitter and Facebook in terms of its growth rate. We can only hope that they will introduce an official PC version some time soon.
