Minecraft’s getting into the spirit of the holidays with spoopy new texture packs on the XBOX consoles to be released later on Sony platforms.
It’s been apparent since Minecraft’s first taste of mainstream popularity that Notch and the boys love themselves some Halloween. Who else would include a jack-o-lantern as a wearable in-game helmet year-round?
Well, they’ve ditched the facade of respecting the “normal” days and went all out with this new Halloween re-skin.
Either you’re drinking poison water or burning in leftover SFX from Ghostbusters. Sounds like your average costume party gone wrong.
But hey, maybe you’re more of a “Metal and Lace over a Scary Face” kind of guy. I can respect that, and so can Minecraft. Here’s a quick look at the other texture pack being released first on the XBOX consoles, the Steampunk pack.
The Minecraft Halloween pack will be free worldwide on the XBOX 360 and XBOX One, though the Minecraft Steampunk pack will set you back a staggering 1 U.S. Dollar.
