Whether your getting Destiny ‘Dark Below’ or not your getting free content this December 9th
December 9th will see the release of the Destiny ‘Dark Below’ expansion and even if you’re not planning on forking out the $20 (or your countries equivalent), Bungie will be releasing free updates to all players.
These new updates will bring more weapons and armour to all players as well as new bounties and even five additional bounty slots. While Bungie haven’t stated it yet it wouldn’t come as a surprise if the updates include the soft level rise to 32 that the ‘Dark Below’ expansion will have.
Players who do buy the ‘Dark Below’ expansion will get wrapped up in a quest in order to stop the Hive from summoning a God powerful enough to destroy Earth. To do so you’ll need to find the character Eris in the Tower and take on the three new missions, which will increase your light and grant you special rewards. Players will also be able to take on the new co-operative Strike ‘The Will of Crota’ which will set you and your team against Omnigul, as she works to expand the Hive Army.
The Destiny ‘Dark Below’ will also come with three new PvP maps and the new six player Raid called ‘Crota’s End’ which will take you and your team into the depths of the Hellmouth. Anyone who gets ‘Dark Below’ will also get all the content that’s coming free to everyone else and the 32 soft level rise, but most importantly if your a PlayStation gamer you’ll get exclusive access to the co-operative Strike ‘The Udying Mind’, an exotic weapon and more it Autumn 2015 at the earliest.
Bungie has recently announced that even if you aren’t planning on paying for the upcoming Destiny ‘Dark Below’ expansion, you’ll get some free content on the day its released, including more weapons and armour.
