Gamer Headlines adds John Whizard Games and Dawn’s Light to our pool of recognized independent game developers and their games for this entire month. Like other role-playing games released in 2009, Dawn’s Light offers puzzles, dungeons, side quests, and more in one massive journey of a young hero–Harvey–who wants to avenge his fallen loved ones and cleanse the world from demons. In fact, his adventure has expanded into a trilogy (becoming known as Harvey’s Quest) and some spin-offs over the years.
However, one of the most successful trademark to this trilogy is the humorous characters who often share witty dialogue conversations. While these unique characters travel, the transportation can sometimes take an interesting turn from sailing a ship to instantly reappearing through colored tiles, etc. None the less, the creator has honed an interesting series filled with twists in each map and more.

Here’s a written message as a side thank you note to the developer:
“After playing through the first game of Dawn’s Light, I’ve been immediately hooked to this indie developer who has plenty of other interesting titles: Nexus of Souls, Guardian Angels, Madam Extravaganza, etc! Additionally, I even subscribed to the newsletter, which sends emails that notifies news and upcoming releases. I’ve been a huge fan of their works and hope that others will soon enjoy them too!”
For more information, please visit the official website. To submit an entry for this event, please read this article. Remember that this showcase will end on December 1. Therefore, don’t forget to share the love for other indie game developers by using #ThanksIndieDev in twitter messages for this entire month! They’ll appreciate the warm gratitude and feel more energized!
