Some Great Features Of WhatsApp Plus Not To Be Missed

by GH Staff

WhatsApp users can consider upgrading to the unofficial version of WhatsApp Plus in order to avail of many additional features.

WhatsApp Plus features a wide variety of emoticons, much more than that provided by WhatsApp. The Plus version also allows users to select and use different emoticons from other platforms such as Google Hangouts. The use of emoticons during chats has seen a big increase and users are sure to appreciate the wide variety of emoticons on offer in WhatsApp Plus.

While WhatsApp can be customized to some extent, the newer WhatsApp Plus provides for a plethora of themes. This leads to a lot of fun for the users as they have many options to go through and select their favorite themes for use. Users have the options to change colors, images, font sizes and even the themes of notifications received.

WhatsAppfamously provides for a “last seen” option which has proved to be of great use to some and has also provided for some discomfort to others. WhatsApp Plus launched with the option of disabling this feature and this proved to a big hit among users. Many users decided to abandon the official application in lieu of this. Subsequently, disabling this feature is now also adopted by the normal version of WhatsApp in order to prevent users from uninstalling the application and migrating to the Plus version.

The official WhatsApp allows users to only share files of up to 12 MB is size. Many users find this limit to be way too small. WhatsApp Plus proves to be much better and allows users to share up to 50 MB file sizes. This proves to be great as image, audio and video files are larger in size these days. Although 50 MB may still not be sufficient for power users, it is still much better as compared to the 12 MB limit previously offered. WhatsApp also resorted to compression of size and reduction of quality of images for transfer and this proved to be a gripe for many users. The unofficial WhatsApp does no such compression and proves to be great in sharing high quality images with friends and family.

Users will need to back up all of their previous WhatsApp data and conversations before migrating. Once this is done, the old application will need to uninstalled and deleted from the device. WhatsApp Plus, being unofficial, will need an APK file for installation. This file can be easily found on the internet. Once downloaded, before they can use the app, users will need to allow installation of applications provided by unknown developers and not available on the official app stores. This can be enabled from the security settings of the device used.

WhatsApp Plus moves away from the traditional green theme of WhatsApp and sports a blue one instead. The logo remains the same, except in blue. While this app is unofficial and not present on the app stores, it is still free to download and install and provides users with some much needed upgrades to the official WhatsApp.
