Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, has lived up to his word, with the release of the iPad 2 and the much sooner release of the iPad Mini 3.
Both of these new hot devices have arrived and brought along the option for gold accent, and the TouchID fingerprint sensor. It is now famous and used on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S devices. Looking at the tablets, you are stuck between deciding on the iPad Air 2 or the iPad Mini 3.
Display and Dimensions
Of course, the bigger model is the iPad Air 2, which weighs less than one pound, and measures 9.5 x 6.6 x .24 inches. The iPad Mini 3 is powered by the Apple A7-ARM dual-core v8 based Cyclone Mobile CPU that clocks at 1.3GHz. Along with a PowerVR G6430 GPU, and the RAM capacity of 1GB, with 16 and 128GB of internal storage.
They both operate on the iOS 8.1.
They both provide the standard Apple quality camera. However, the iPad Mini 3 can capture both photos and videos in a smooth, vivid quality. The iPad 2 and the iPad Mini 3 provide experience that is better for their users.

The iPad Air 2 9.7 inch display is fully portable, thanks to its light weight and slim body. However, the iPad Mini 3 is lighter and smaller, and you can hold it in your hand, or place in a small bag to carry it around.
Price
The iPad Air 2 is more expensive with the 16GB priced at $499. While the iPad Mini 3 for the 16GB is $399.
Conclusion
The iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air 2 are not built to be competitors. However, it personal preference is the deciding factor. Both have their disadvantages, as well as their advantage. They have highly preferable features compared to other tablets on the market. Apple has set good pricing for their products, so the choice is yours.
