Destiny’s Iron Banner playlist is back and lower level players beware because levels now matter
From today till November 24th Destiny’s Iron Banner playlist is back and this time Lord Saladin isn’t going easy on lower level players because now your level matters. The reason is that unlike last time there is no cap on level advantages so “Your DEFENSE rating affects how you take damage. Your ATTACK rating affects how you inflict damage.”
During the event only players who are level 20 or higher will be able to lead the fire-team, but lower level players will still be allowed to take part in the Iron Banner playlist. Don’t think that they’ll be easy pickings however because Bungie has warned that “Lower-level players wielding fully-upgraded weapons should still be considered a very credible threat!“.
There are now five ranks that you’ll be able to climb during the event and while yes your rank from the last Iron Banner event will be preserved, it will be reset after this event so strike out now while you can. By increasing your event standing through matches and bounties, you’ll be able to earn weapons, armour and class items which you can reset to apply new perks to create your perfect weapon.
After fans complained that the last Iron Banner was too fair to lower level players, Bungie has responded by removing the 7 level advantage cap from the last Iron Banner playlist. There are now five Iron Lord ranks and you’ll also have the chance to unlock exclusive level 30 weapons, equipment and class items. Destiny’s Iron Banner playlist will run from November 18th till November 24th.
