On November 22nd Microsoft will celebrate the Xbox One’s first birthday. To celebrate this, Microsoft will be giving out gifts and will be doing giveaways. If you opted in for emails from the Xbox team, you will also receive a customised email telling of your Xbox One accomplishments.
Beginning Friday, all Xbox One owners will receive for free:
- A Gamer Picture
- A wallpaper for your desktop & and a special background theme for your Xbox One
- A free rental of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn
- A free rental of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods (only available in the US and Canada).
Even though it’s only a few things, it’s still a very nice gesture from Microsoft to owners of the Xbox One. Microsoft will also be doing a bunch of giveaways. Winners will be selected at random and emailed, some of the best prizes you can win include the limited edition Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Xbox One, the Xbox One special edition Sunset Overdrive bundle and the Killer Instinct Season One Combo Breaker pack.
