Microsoft acquired the rights to the Gears franchise from Epic Games earlier this year, and, more recently, even WWE superstar the Big Show said he’d “love” for the opportunity to feature in a Gears of War title.
Aaron Greenberg, head of Xbox marketing, confirmed earlier this week that Microsoft would not be attending The Game Awards in Las Vegas on November 5th, meaning we won’t be hearing any further details about one of Microsoft’s longstanding exclusives at the event.
