Troy Baker, most likely the busiest voice actor in the gaming industry at this time, has confirmed that he is voicing Nathan Drake’s older brother, Sam, in Naughty Dog’s upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Baker is widely known for his lead performances as Booker in Bioshock Infinite and Joel in The Last of Us, alongside a slew of numerous other games.
The news that Baker is to voice Sam Drake was confirmed by Troy Baker himself in a tweet via his official Twitter account, which can be seen after the break.
Troy Baker and Nolan North Back Again
"Good to see you're alive, little brother."
Yes, that was me.
Damn proud.— Troy Baker (@TroyBakerVA) December 6, 2014
The line above – “Good to see you’re alive, little brother” refers to Troy Baker’s line spoken during the closing moments of the recently revealed Uncharted 4 gameplay trailer – which was shown at Sony’s PlayStation Experience event.
As many gamers already know, Nolan North is reprising his role as Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake, which means that Baker and North will be working alongside each other in Uncharted 4.
This is not the first time the two voice actors have collaborated on a video game as Baker and North have both worked together on games such as The Last of Us and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 sometime next year.
