Xbox Fitness will remain free next year and users will be able to purchase additional programs

After being contacted by Microsoft Central, Microsoft has confirmed that their Xbox Fitness service will remain free to Xbox One users with a Xbox Gold subscription next year. This is great news for users of the service because when Xbox Fitness was originally announced back in September 2013 Microsoft stated that Xbox Gold subscription users will be getting it free till the end of 2014.

Despite what they said in 2013 however when question by Microsoft Central, Microsoft stated that “While some of the content available will change in January, Xbox Fitness will continue to offer free and unlimited access to a wide fitness video catalogue with your Xbox Live Gold membership, as well as the option to purchase additional full programs with Gold and Silver memberships.”

This means that Xbox Gold subscribers will be able to continue to use Xbox Fitness for free although it does sound like some of the content will be changed and possibly removed. On the plus side people who enjoy using Xbox Fitness will be able to buy additional “full” programs starting next year.

Microsoft Central has revealed after contacting Microsoft that Xbox Gold Subscribers will be able to continue using Xbox Fitness on the Xbox One for free next year although some content will be changed. They and Silver Subscribers will also be able to purchase additional “full” programs next year.
