Today, The Right Initiative Games (TRI.G) has released their first game called Shadows of War at Steam. This 2D side-scrolling action game with RTS elements contains a 1944 story about a lost German Science project that was revived by a new Federal Chancellor who detonated a devastating bomb that shaped the world into ruins in 2013. Now, nations use little resources and militarize forces against other enemies in the battlefields. Here’s the official trailer:
Though the short video leaves much to be desired about the game-play, the main objective of Shadows of War is about preventing the enemy from marching into your land, so tickets will not be loss. Additionally, low money means less units and support strikes can be ordered onto the battlefield. It also offers a Hardcore mode for old-school gamers that needs a worthy challenge as larger maps are trickier.
In the end, this indie project does not have any experience points system, unlockable units, downloadable contents and mirco-transactions. For more information, please visit the official steam page!
