Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita will be getting another title this week in correlation with its PlayStation Plus subscription. Last week, subscribers were able to scoop up Street Fighter x Tekken. This week, they will get a launch title in Modnation Racers: Road Trip. A very fun and deeply customization racing title that first came to light on the PlayStation 3 in 2010. The Vita version includes much of the same features, also allowing players to download their content from their PS3 save. Players can create tracks using the touchpad, and share these back and forth with each version. The only major knock that Road Trip received on the Vita was the lack of online multiplayer, which was a deal breaker for a lot of people.
With the touch pad integration from the Vita, players can raise or lower terrain with the screen or the rear pad. Players can also use common gestures to create of edit their Mods, tracks, or karts. There is endless replay value in being able to build, create, and share tracks and content especially when players are on the go. Modnation Racers: Road Trip still lacks online multiplayer, however there have been rumors for a while the game might get it. It might be even more of a possibility now that the game is available on PlayStation Plus. The game can be downloaded once the PlayStation Store updates on Tuesday.
