Here we go again. Rockstar is dealing with more legal trouble over GTA 5 as Karen Gravano, a former ‘Mob Wives’ reality star, is suing the company. The suit claims that Rockstar used her likeness and life story for a mission in the game. The suit against Rockstar, which calls for $40 million for punitive damages and compensation, states that a character found during the GTA 5 “Burial” random encounter mission bears a resemblance to Ms. Gravano and has a similar life story.
You discover the character, Antonia Bottino, about to be buried alive. After saving her, she explains that her father is a retired mob family underboss, Sammy Bottino, who became a government witness as part of a plea bargain. Gravano’s father is Sammy Gravano, a retired mob family underboss with the same story. Coincidence or not? It seems that Gravano does not think so and plans on following through with the suit of the GTA 5 developer.
This is just the latest in a string of legal trouble that Rockstar has dealt with over GTA 5. According to various rumors, Rockstar was threatened with lawsuits by Lindsay Lohan for use of her image and Daz Dillinger, who wanted the game recalled for use of his music without permission.
